Job Title: Bindery and Finishing Operator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bindery and Finishing Operator to join our printing team. The Bindery and Finishing Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining finishing equipment, such as folders, cutters, collators, and binding machines, to produce high-quality printed materials. The ideal candidate should have experience working with finishing equipment, possess strong technical skills, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain finishing equipment, such as folders, cutters, collators, and binding machines, to produce high-quality printed materials.
Set up and adjust equipment as necessary to ensure that finished products meet our quality standards.
Monitor production quality and make necessary adjustments to ensure that printed materials meet our quality standards.
Work collaboratively with other members of the printing team, such as designers and digital press operators, to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the client’s satisfaction.
Keep accurate records of production runs, including materials used, time spent, and production volume.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment, such as cleaning and lubrication, to ensure that it is operating properly.
Assist in the training and development of new employees as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; some post-secondary education or vocational training in printing or related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with finishing equipment, preferably in a commercial printing environment.
Strong technical skills, including proficiency in finishing equipment operation and maintenance.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with precision to ensure that finished products meet our quality standards.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
